Plan the whole night,
not only the next corridor.
Vitrina Noctis is a turn-based route-planning game for players who enjoy spatial puzzles, careful sequencing, and improving a plan without a timer.
How one operation works
- Select an object from the manifest. Its dock, destination, crate width, effort rate, and forbidden conditions appear beside the floor.
- Extend a route one adjacent square at a time. The game prevents walls, occupied bays, loops, and object-specific hazards.
- Authorize a valid route. The object then occupies its bay, so the order of installation can change the remaining paths.
- Every authorized move reports its effort beside the least effort that crate could have spent, so a route can be beaten next time.
- Install every object. Your report compares effort with a solver-verified minimum, states the gap, prints the par score beside your rating, and names one thing to try next.
Read the floor before moving
Work light
Light-sensitive materials cannot enter work-light squares. Every square announces its condition, its dock or bay, and any installed crate to screen readers.
Rough floor
Shock-sensitive objects need a smoother route.
Narrow door
Wide crates cannot pass a narrow threshold.
Slope
Some heavy or unstable objects cannot use sloped access.
Ways to play
Night rotation contains eight authored operations. The unlocked-operation ledger lets you replay any available night and improve its record. Daily plan creates the same deterministic plan for a chosen date. Night simulation transforms floors and can issue an operations notice: a mid-shift change that releases a blocked crossing or lifts one handling restriction after the first installation. The daily strip on the night office marks each of the last seven days as played or not played with its filed score.
Questions players ask
Is this professional collections-care guidance?
No. The objects and operations are fictional and the rules are deliberately simplified for play. The separate care-sources page explains the broad concepts that inspired them.
What happens when I close the tab?
The registrar suggestion never commits a move: its final tier draws a striped ghost route you can edit or authorize, and it says which condition the route avoided. The current operation is saved after each meaningful action. On return, the in-progress ledger offers an explicit Resume or Discard choice.
Where is progress stored?
Campaign records, daily results, drafts, settings, badges, and recent replays stay in this browser’s local storage. They are not uploaded. Export a save file if you want a portable backup.
Can I play without a mouse or animation?
Yes. Every action is available to keyboard users; arrows route, Z undoes, H requests help, and Enter authorizes a valid move. A full shortcut reference opens from the button under the controls or by pressing the question-mark key. Preferences are listed in one order in every game here: reduce motion (which follows your system setting), high-contrast marks, larger text, sound cues, then export, import, and reset.
Does a daily result unlock campaign nights?
No. Daily results have their own dated archive and never alter campaign mastery.
What does the browser back button do during an operation?
It returns you to the night office rather than leaving the site. Your in-progress operation is kept in the ledger so it can be resumed.
What if this browser runs out of local storage?
Play continues in memory and a notice explains that the night will not be saved until space is freed. Nothing already filed is lost.
